    Golf Course Information

Overlooking the enormous Indian Ocean near Mossel Bay, the Pinnacle Point golf course was designed by Peter Matkovich and 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke. The course’s location on South Africa’s Southern Coast and special design amongst wild dunes and natural vegetation makes the Pinnacle Point course one of the most unique golf courses in the world. It is highly coveted and rated amongst the best golf courses in the world, especially in Africa. The approach shots from fairways to greens are one of the best features of the golf course, with sweeping ocean views and angles that are never the same, the overall experience is world-class at PPGC.

The Course itself features many elevation changes due to the natural rolling dune terrain. Trees are vacant on the course, being replaced entirely by natural scrub that will swallow your golf ball if you don’t hit it straight. A range of tee boxes allows golfers of all abilities to enjoy a round, whilst the fairways are generally wide so if your driving isn’t up to par, you won’t be punished much. Winds can be a massive challenge if they are up, and being on the edge of a cape, chances are they will be. The course has a par of 72, a length of 6,670 yards and 6,099 metres from the back tees.

    Accommodation

    Golf Lodges

Golf Lodges are the most popular type of accommodation at Pinnacle Point Estate. They sleep up to 8 guests with 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom lodges available, depending on your group size. Effectively small houses, Lodges have ensuite bathrooms with separate showers, separate dining areas and full kitchens. Tranquil, private and with generous sea-facing views, Golf Lodges are a fantastic option when visiting Pinnacle Point.

    Golf Villas

The Golf Villas at Pinnacle Point offer 1,2 & 3-bedroom units ideal for both short and long-term stays. They are slightly smaller than the golf lodges and are therefore cheaper than the lodges. Gol Villas are individually decorated and have a bonus of a balcony, with a more resort-style feel to them that notably differs from the Golf Lodges. The villas can sleep up to 6, with special Golf Villa Penthouses available to sleep up to 8 guests, which offers the most luxury accommodation at Pinnacle Point.

    Fynbos Unit

The 4-bed Fynbos Unite sleeps 8 guests and serves as a proper house with a full kitchen, washing and drying facilities, ensuite bathrooms, a private terrace patio with outdoor dining. A wood-fired outdoor barbecue is a great feature for entertaining whilst watching the distant Indian Ocean after a round of golf. We recommend the Fynbos Unite for entertaining your group and for the added privacy.

    Private Houses

For larger groups, there are 4,5 & 6-bedroom private homes to rent during your stay at Pinnacle Point. These are larger than any other type of accommodation at Pinnacle Point, and serve large families and friends, or corporate groups very well. Full kitchens with ensuite bathrooms with sweeping views over the Indian Ocean and with private balconies, and free-standing bars for added entertaining, private vacation homes at Pinnacle Point are the best choice for larger groups looking for more privacy.

    Resort Dining
