The golf course was designed by USA architect David Harman, with recent renovations overseen by Rees Jones. The golf course was designed with a mind to keep the natural setting in place with the best views on optimal holes. The Kauri Cliffs golf course is one of the most sought-after in the Australia and New Zealand region. The ability to play it twice on the same trip will enable a level of intimacy with the course that will not be forgotten.

Waitangi Golf Course

Situated just metres from the site where the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi was signed, the Waitangi golf course resides along the coastline of The Bay of Islands. Stunning Bay views stretch from the Bay of Islands, to Russell, then inland to Opua and Mount Bledisloe. A surreal experience, the Waitangi Golf Course is a fun 18-hole course that reminds you that you are in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand.

Bay of Islands Golf Course

An interesting parkland golf course, the Bay of Islands Golf Club is laid out on the side of a hill, though it appears flat. The 18-hole route incorporates elevation changes from tees to greens, although many fairways appear to run over flat terrain. The golf course features sharp doglegs, target greens protected by runoffs and bunkers, numerous lakes and tree-lined fairways. The Bay of Islands Golf Course is a great complement to any Kauri Cliffs golf package.

The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs

One of the highest-rated resorts in the world, The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs characterises five-star luxury. Perched atop a ridgeline that descends into its world-class golf course and the Bay of Islands, The Lodge features a small number of bespoke suites and cottages with a distinct Hamptons-feel.
