It is the largest city in Spain, dating back to the year 865 C.E with Islamic and Christian roots. This chic hotel is modern, luxurious and a perfect place to base our visit in Madrid. You’ll enjoy three nights at this centrally-located hotel.
  • This evening, you are invited to our official Welcome Dinner where you’ll enjoy a 3-course dinner with drinks to kick off this three-week Iberian adventure. You’ll meet your tour leaders, and your fellow travellers. We travel in small groups so it won’t take long to get on familiar terms.

Day 2: Sightseeing (B)

  • No trip to Madrid is complete without a tour of the city. After breakfast at your leisure, we’ll gather in the lobby, to be met by a local guide who will show us around the city on a half-day walking tour.
  • Included in this tour is admission to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Spains national museum of 20th century art. This was inaugurated on September 10, 1992, and is named after Queen Sofia.
  • After the tour, enjoy the rest of your day exploring Madrid, perhaps doing another tour or exploring the city’s beautiful streets.

Day 3: Golf (B)

  • For our first round of golf, we head to a famous golf course on the outskirts of Madrid: Real Sociedad Hipica Espanola North Course. This is ranked in Spain’s Top 10 Golf Courses by Top100GolfCourses.com. • The evening is free to spend at leisure (final night in Madrid).

Day 4: Travel (B, L)

  • After our 3-night introduction to Spain’s capital, we get a dose of the countryside with a bus journey to Southern Spain. Take in the beautiful rolling hills as we navigate south. This is the longest stretch of the journey, but we have a long stop planned for lunch.
  • Enjoy a winery visit (location a surprise) at one of the region’s top wineries with tasting and lunch included.
  • On arrival in Sotogrande, we check into Hotel Encinar Sotogrande, which has the privilege of being on the doorstep of Sotogrande’s greatest golf courses. This evening is our customary welcome drink at the hotel to welcome you to Sotogrande in style!

Of course you can. Our tours are specifically designed so non-golfing partners enjoy the trip as much as their golfing partners. Our hotels are always central to towns and popular activities. We also create non-golfer itineraries that are crafted with the interests of the non-golfers in mind and that means we consult with you before we book any non-golfer activity.

No, our golf tours are accepting of all golfers. Depending on the destination, some golf courses require you to have a certain handicap, and this will be expressed prior to any booking confirmation. Otherwise, you are welcome to join our golf tour as they are always inclusive.

Escorted golf tours are one of the most enjoyable types of holidays. Our groups are small and everyone gets to know each other on a first-name basis early-on in the tour.

On a golf day, breakfast is usually taken between 6:30 - 08.30, and our first tee-times are usually mid-morning. This allows for the early risers and late-goers to enjoy a two-hour period for breakfast. We like to keep the afternoons free for sightseeing, resort relaxation, shopping or general downtime. We usually restrict each day to having one activity, whether it's a half-day tour or round of golf, it's usually quite relaxed.

Apart from the welcome dinner and farewell dinner, we usually keep evenings free to enjoy whichever destination you are in. If you are travelling by yourself, the tour leaders have an open invitation to dine with them; if this is the case, you're in for a real treat as the tour leaders know where to go for the best meals. We always stay in destinations where local restaurants are either a short walk or short transfer away, so there are plenty of options to dine.

Over the decades, our tours average the following guest ratio: 70% couples, 30% singles. Our tours are comprised on average of 55% male and 45% female. One fact we are proud of is that our tours enjoy an average of 70% or higher repeat guest rate.

Absolutely. We are firm believers in travelling safely and with transparency. See our full list of accreditation here.
