San Lorenzo Golf Course

Available exclusively to Dona Filipa Hotel guests, the San Lorenzo golf course is award-winning. A classic parkland layout right on the banks of an inland lagoon, umbrella pines and native Algarve shrubs line the fairways along the sides of lush fairways and manicured greens. An exciting mix of water, strategically-placed bunkers and hazards play a big part in the golf course’s composition. The course can test golfers depending on which tee you select, so amateurs and even non-golfers can enjoy a round. It was ranked as one of the best courses to play in Europe during the 90s and comes highly coveted by Dona Filipa Resort guests. Designed by Joe Lee in 1988, the San Lorenzo golf course in Vale do Lobo, Algarve, is seriously worth staying at Dona Filipa Hotel for.

Pinheiros Altos Golf Course

Designed by Ronald Fream, a well-respected golf course architect, the Algarve’s Pinheiros Altos golf course offers 27-holes of golf with championship quality. With three 9-hole formats of contrasting layouts, you will get a taste of everything when you play the Pinheiros Altos golf course. The courses are named as: The Pines (Pinheiros), The Corks (sobreiros) & The Olives (Oliverias), drawing influence from the native trees in the area.
