Golf Course Information

The magnificent Golf Course at Mount Wolseley is firmly established as one of Ireland’s premier Parkland Courses. The perfect choice for golf groups and individual golfers alike. Ideally located within one hour from Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny & Waterford and within easy reach of the Midlands, West, South and Eastern regions, this challenging 18-hole Championship Course has matured beautifully with age and offers stunning views of the Carlow mountains and countryside. Designed by the late, great Christy O’Connor Jnr, the Golf Course at Mount Wolseley is an idyllic and lush parkland course that tests every facet of the players’ games while also providing enjoyment. Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is one of Ireland’s finest destination resorts and the condition and presentation of the Championship Golf Course is a must for the avid golfer.

Measuring 6,498-metres and 7,106-yars, the course has a par of 72 and is very demanding with water featuring on more than half the holes, including five of the first six holes. Many greens are multi-tiered and difficult to read, so what might look like an unexciting golf course usually changes expectations dramatically. Eight of the ten par fours are over 366-metres / 400-yards long, which is a testament to the bigger hitters, but try not to smash the ball because odds are, you’ll duff them into the adjacent bodies of water. There are also 3 practice holes located next to the start of the course which are much-needed before a game at Mount Wolseley.

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe rooms are all spacious, bright and beautifully appointed. Guests can choose from a single, twin or double deluxe room depending on individual needs. Executive rooms offer much more space than the deluxe rooms, but feature most of the same amenities as the deluxe. Mount Wolseley Resort lies about an hour from Waterford, Wexford & Dublin, in the heart of County Carlow.
