About

One of Dubai’s most well-known golf courses, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is situated in the heart of the city. Its most well-known feature is the eloquently designed clubhouse with its design mirroring the sails of the traditional Arab Dhow. The Golf Club is located just minutes from Dubai Airport and encapsulates metropolitan golf at its finest. It opened in 1993, with its design by European Golf Design in collaboration with Thomas Bjørn. It is one of Dubai’s original golf courses, with the course opening when the city’s construction was booming. The best closest golf courses consist of Dubai Hills Golf Club, Arabian Ranches and Emirates Golf Club’s Majilis and Faldo courses. The course was designed during Dubai’s construction boom and everything about the course points towards the might of man with a machine. Expect a fun-filled 18-holes with manufactured landscapes and the backdrop of one of the greatest cities of the modern era.

Golf Course Information

Designed by European Golf Design in collaboration with Thomas Bjørn, the Dubai Creek Golf Course has many holes to remember. Challenges come in the form of man-made lakes, the Dubai Creek, and large bunkers, the design of Dubai Creek golf course is a spectacle to behold. Expect epic shot-making with some of the best closing holes in the world of golf. Features include Date palms, coconut trees, water hazards and rolling fairways. The course is maintained to world-class standards year-round and is as lush as any you might find elsewhere.

 

Water is a prominent feature at Dubai Creek Golf Course, the aptly named creek appears on four holes, while man-made lakes appear on various others. The amount of earth moving that occurred at Dubai Creek amounted to an amalgamation of mounds, rolling fairways and greens supported by curved bunkers with flat bottoms. There is an air of luxuriousness at Dubai Creek that is unparalleled; expect immaculate playing conditions, superb course maintenance and a fantastic clubhouse experience.

The architecturally-designed clubhouse at Dubai Creek Golf Club takes the shape of a traditional Arab Dhow ship and slightly resembles the Sydney Opera House in its grandeur. Inside, you will find various restaurants and eateries including the Lakeview, Jones the Grocer Express, Boardwalk, Casa de Tapas, Cielo Sky Lounge and QD’s. The Clubhouse is also home to the Yacht Club and is a prominent place for people to meet without playing golf. Visiting golfers frequent the Lakeview restaurant which is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are two Pro Shops, one located in the Clubhouse, the other in The Academy. Find the latest range of golf shoes, bags, balls, sunglasses and accessories at either shop, including the best clubs on the market.

 

Practice Facilities – Peter Cowen Academy

World renowned golf coach Peter Cowen is responsible for coaching some of golf’s biggest names. He has a golf academy at Dubai Creek Golf Course with serious facilities. These include a par-3 academy course (9-holes), a 36-bay driving range, two short-game areas, a mini-golf course and a swing studio. Fees are involved to use the facilities, and you can also book a lesson with one of the resident pros.
