Designed by Scott Miller, the Cholla golf course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is set on prime golf real estate. A desert course, it meanders around ridges, through large boulder fields with cacti interceding the fairways. Maintained to the highest order, We-Ko-Pa has every hallmark of a championship golf course but offers a relaxed, scenic round of golf when compared to the rigours of a PGA Tour golf course. Miller’s design opened in 2001 and was labelled as one of the best “10 new public courses in the world” by Sports Illustrated shortly after it opened.
