The unspoilt coastline and a lot of space was enough to entice Robert Trent Jones Junior to design a course on the up-and-coming Golf Coast of Vietnam, in Da Nang. Hoiana Shores is the newest golf course on the block, opening in 2019 and featuring a stunning layout, golf complex and clubhouse facilities, it is widely acclaimed and multi-award-winning since its inception. A seaside links golf course, Hoiana has a very natural feel about it and the work of Robert Trent Jones Jnr as a golf course architect chasing after his father has paid off, specifically for a links design, which is not what the duo are usually recognised for. The land has barely been touched, emphasis has been placed on the natural terrain as a links course should. Rolling dunes with limited vegetation, the focus is on the golf at Hoiana Shores, so avid golfers will rejoice when arriving.
The course looks out over the ocean to the Cham Islands, providing a wonderful backdrop. The front nine requires a ‘bump-and-run strategy’ where rolling terrain with many undulations open unto the greens. The second nine will bring you in contact with the ocean and you will build a love of the water from the sand dunes of Hoiana with an open beach, sublime climate and not many beach-goers. Hoiana Shores is fast-becoming the premier golf course of Da Nang, and with many other accomplished golf courses in the region, that is no easy feat.
Clubhouse
Nothing characterises luxury like Hoiana Shores. Built in 2019 with the very best amenities, the Clubhouse features a restaurant of French Provincial design, a separate bar and café. A function room allows golf groups to enjoy private space on their golf day, whilst a private dining room allows golf groups to enjoy a post-round meal in great company. A terrace lounge also enables you to have an afternoon drink soaking up the Vietnamese sun and watching golfers finish their rounds. The Clubhouse also features a fully-stocked Pro Shop where you can grab all the latest golf equipment and attire.
Practice Facilities
The practice facilities are amazing at Hoiana Shores. A PGA Golf Academy provides the best tuition to hone your skills on the Danang coastline, whilst a playoff hole offers you the chance to go head-to head with a friend to settle your scorecard or begin your day. A full-length driving range and chipping area complete with putting green provides Hoiana Shores has a complete range of 5-star practice facilities.
