Finca Cortesin Golf Resort

Finca Cortesin is globally renowned for providing one of Europe’s most unforgettable golf experiences. Rated among Spain’s best golf courses, including by the prestigious Golf Digest magazine, the harmonious relationship between the natural Mediterranean landscape and environment on the resort’s world-class 18-hole championship course make for a most attractive design, while the excellent weather we enjoy all year round provides the perfect setting for playing golf.
As you would expect of a resort featuring one of the world’s top 50 hotels, delivering outstanding customer service is at the heart of the Finca Cortesin experience. On arrival, the security guard will direct guests to the appropriate car park, where players may leave their golf equipment with our player service assistant who will ensure the clubs are placed on the respective golf cart prior to playing golf. The excellent condition of the fairways and greens, and attention to the smallest details, will make a round of golf at Finca Cortesin a challenging test of your ability whilst, all the time, being surrounded by an aesthetically exceptional environment that is both natural and unique.
Cabell B. Robinson’s course design and Gerald Huggan’s attractive landscaping capture the natural characteristics of the area, adding up to an ideal balance between 20 varieties of flora, the typical Mediterranean forest and the perfectly-manicured Bermuda grass on the course. Finca Cortesin has hosted numerous high-profile events including the Volvo World Match Play Championship on three occasions, one of the world’s most prestigious professional golf tournaments and ranked in the top 5 golf courses in Spain by Golf World Magazine.
Renowned for its attention to detail, Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf & Spa has won further acclaim after completing a comprehensive summer upgrade of its greens in 2017 to become the first golf courses in Spain to feature a new, environmentally-friendly type of Bermuda grass on all its putting surfaces. Extensive practice facilities are available for players, with complimentary practice balls and fresh fruit provided to ensure you go to the first tee well prepared for the unforgettable round that lies ahead.
Accommodation
The hotel’s avant-garde yet majestic design is inspired by traditional Andalusian architecture. Exclusive and luxurious, a world set apart, where traditional Mediterranean lifestyle is seamlessly combined with the latest in contemporary living: superb cuisine, impeccable service and an unrivalled ambience of peace and tranquillity. Built around two main courtyards of palatial proportion, the hotel boasts 67 spacious, light-filled and exquisitely designed suites which range from 50 to 200 square metres and which all feature impressive 4-metre-high ceilings.
Junior Suite
The spacious Junior Suites comprise 52 sqm and boast a 4m high ceiling. The 12 sqm bathroom is finished in Travertine marble and features a bathtub, walk-in rain shower cubicle, twin vanities and a separate WC. Each suite benefits from a private patio or terrace.
Executive Suite
Each Executive Suite is unique, boasting a surface area of between 73 and 97 square metres, 4-mmetre-high ceilings and a separate lounge. Some include a kitchenette and guest WC. The bathroom, measuring between 16 sqm and 23 sqm, is finished in Travertine marble and features a bathtub, walk-in rain shower cubicle, twin vanities and a separate WC. The majority of the suites offer a porch and private garden or terrace with sweeping views of the golf course, gardens or rolling Andalusian mountains.
Family Suite
This beautiful and spacious two-bedroom suite’s size is 120 square metres: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room and terrace. You have one main door that brings you to a small entrance with two different doors, one to an Executive Suite and the other one to a Superior Room/Junior Suite. They can choose to activate the electronic key system in the main door or in each of the separate doors. You can inform us about which option suits you better.
Pool Suite
With an incredibly spacious 80 sqm and 4m high ceiling, these exclusive suites offer both a generous, individual living room and a sumptuous bedroom to provide you with the perfect private haven in which to relax and unwind. Each suite boasts an impressive 60 sqm terrace and private swimming pool. The 18 sqm bathroom is finished in Travertine marble and incorporates a bathtub, walk-in rain shower cubicle, twin vanities and a separate WC.
Cortesin Suite
With an incredibly spacious 180 sqm and 4m high ceiling, these exclusive suites offer both a generous, individual living room and a sumptuous bedroom to provide you with the perfect private haven in which to relax and unwind. The 18 sqm bathroom is finished in Travertine marble and incorporates a bathtub, walk-in rain shower cubicle, twin vanities and a separate WC.
Private Villa, La Reserva
The south-facing spacious villas boast extremely high-quality finishes. Their 420 sqm of private space offers 4 en-suite bedrooms, a living room with authentic log-wood fireplace, dining room, marble bathrooms, fully-furnished kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, a storeroom and separate utility room, as well as a guest WC. The vast exterior terraces, porches, garden and private swimming pool complete this exquisite setting. The Mediterranean-style architecture provides a spacious and elegant retreat in which to enjoy the Andalusian sun, a wonderful contrast to the majestic grandeur of the Finca Cortesín Hotel.

El Jardin de Lutz
El Jardín de Lutz, awarded with a “Sun” in the Repsol Guide, offers a relaxed yet elegant ambiance for guests looking to enjoy traditional Spanish cuisine. Dine on spectacular a terrace and enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the manicured gardens, which are filled with millennial olive trees. Chef Lutz Bösing masterfully combines classic Spanish dishes with modern concepts.
Kabuki Raw
Kabuki Raw is the hotel’s One Michelin Starred signature restaurant. Its cuisine is renowned for both exquisite traditional Japanese dishes, as well as others that have emerged by fusing Japanese with Mediterranean influences. Guests are able to admire the Masterchef himself Luis Olarra at work in the kitchen as he prepares mouth-watering dishes; combining the highest quality seafood and raw materials, produce grown organically in the vegetable garden and Spanish cuisine classics.
Don Giovanni
Awarded two “Suns” in the Repsol Guide and named the Best Madrid-based Italian Restaurant, Don Giovanni’s Sicilian chef Andrea Tumbarello continues to receive culinary accolades. He masterfully brings the authentic taste of Italy to Finca Cortesin, preparing recipes that respect century-old traditions, whilst cleverly combining them with ingenuity and innovation.
The Blue Bar
The Blue Bar, located in the hotel lounge, offers a comprehensive menu, including a delightful selection of Spanish tapas, sandwiches, salads, and fruit, as well as a wide range of teas. Classic cocktails and drinks are also served in the patio lounge, in the Moroccan and Indian chill-out lounges, and on the spacious outdoor terrace.
Beach Club
Finca Cortesin also features an impressive 6.000m² beach club, located in the “Bahía de Casares” beach just 1 km from the hotel. Its restaurant, directly on the beach, offers the best in Mediterranean cuisine including seafood, rice dishes, salads, fruits & more.

The Beach Club
Finca Cortesin features an exclusive 6,000 sqm Beach Club, located just 0.9 miles from the hotel. It boasts teak wooden flooring, delightful gardens and Balinese beds and sun loungers which surround the Beach club’s pièce-de-resistance; a breath-taking 35m infinity pool. Its acclaimed restaurant fronts directly onto the beach, offering the very best in Mediterranean cuisine, including mouth-watering seafood and rice dishes… all served in a way that can only be found at Finca Cortesin.
Spa
Stretching an impressive 2,200 sqm, the spa boasts individual areas for facial and body treatments, massages, thermal baths and a fitness centre. The spa also features a 25m indoor heated salt-water swimming pool. Personal trainers are available to assist on request. The oriental-influenced spa was designed with the special intention of providing guests with quality Asian treatments, and expert Thai therapists ensure that guests enjoy a truly authentic experience. The Thai Spa features ten individual treatment rooms and one double bed suite, complete with heated floor and à la carte music. Products from the prestigious French brand, Biologique Recherche are used for all treatments.
Fitness & Racquet Club
Tennis and Paddle enthusiasts can enjoy their favourite sport on the outdoor courts. The gym, a large and diaphanous room with a ceiling height of 6m and views of the garden, is fully equipped with the latest wellness technologies of the exclusive collection Artis by Technogym. For the swimming fans, three outdoor pools, one of them 50m long, and one indoor 25m long. Personal trainers of all specialties, including Pilates and Yoga, are available upon request.
Activities
Finca Cortesin is just a two-hour drive from the Alhambra Palace, one of the great Wonders of the World, the historic city of Ronda; Malaga and its museums; the wineries of Jerez; Seville and its world-famous Feria de Sevilla. Thanks to the exceptional climate, benefitting from more than 300 days of sun a year and minimum temperatures of 12°C, lovers of the great outdoors can enjoy activities all year round, including playing tennis and paddle, sailing, fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, swimming, horse riding, trekking, mountain biking… and, in winter, skiing in the Sierra Nevada.
The Plaza
At Finca Cortesin, they believe that no leisure experience is complete without a stroll around an exclusive shopping centre, where customers can find all the services they could need to make life just that little bit easier. The Plaza is home to several boutiques, as well as office spaces, which transform Finca Cortesin into an exclusive world where everything is within close reach. How to Get There
Finca Cortesin Golf & Country Club is conveniently located 15-minutes’ drive from Estepona, a mid-sized town north-east of the resort. From Seville, the resort is about a 120-minute drive. The Resort is a long drive from any northern city, so it’s recommended you drive down the coast from Barcelona for a few days, stopping at other resorts along the way and enjoying the fantastic Spanish countryside.
If you are coming from Portugal, the resort is about a 4-hour drive from The Algarve central region. The best way to travel to Finca Cortesin is to fly to Gibraltar and drive from there. The journey time to Malaga airport is just 50 minutes, whilst Gibraltar can be reached in just 15 minutes.
