Ernie Els Wine Estate
The Ernie Els Wine Estate is located on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, within the infamous ‘Golden Triangle’ of Stellenbosch’s wine country. The wines produced on the estate are rich and associated with warmer fruit flavours. There are six varietals grown and nurtured for on the property; Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. During your wine tasting you will be able to take a peek into the barrel maturation cellar and view some of Ernie’s finest golfing achievements in the Trophy Room. Gaze across to Table Mountain, relax and enjoy the wines paired with the chef’s seasonally prepared menu.

Firm believers in the age-old belief that ‘less is more,’ the Waterford Estate is a leader in producing wines. There is nothing pretentious about the Estate, the visual beauty is more about presenting a seamless whole that complements, rather than detracts from the surrounding natural beauty. This is the reason why they have consciously chosen to use only half of their estate for the winery grounds and vineyards, preferring to preserve and maintain the natural fauna and flora on the Estate. There is not much else to introduce, except to let you indulge and enjoy your time at Waterford Estate during your Wine-land Tour.

Generally for a self-led trip, we require a 25% deposit to confirm, with the balance due 90 days prior to departure. This schedule can change depending on the destination and timeline for booking.

After that, we'll ask a few basic questions to get an idea of what you are looking for, your trip budget and dates of travel.
Then we'll work out a free quote for your trip turn it into a booking once you are satisfied with the itinerary and details.
Our invoices and booking confirmations will come after the itinerary is set and availability of the golf courses confirmed.
