About

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course is a world-renowned golf destination situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Located just steps away from the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel, the course offers stunning mountain views and a challenging, yet rewarding golfing experience. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., a renowned golf course architect known for his masterful use of natural elements in his designs. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course has hosted numerous golf events, including the Canadian Skins Game and the PGA of Canada Club Professional Championship, cementing its reputation as one of the top golf courses in Canada.

Golf Course Information

The course is characterized by its undulating fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and stunning mountain views. The Par 72 course spans 6,635 yards from the back tees and features four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. The fairways are lined with tall trees and natural hazards, including rock outcroppings and streams, which require strategic shot placement and skillful play.

 

One of the signature holes on the course is the Par 3 15th hole, which features a dramatic tee shot over a deep ravine and a waterfall. The course also features a number of other memorable holes, including the Par 5 4th hole, which offers stunning views of Whistler Mountain, and the challenging Par 4 18th hole, which requires a precise approach shot to a green guarded by a large water hazard. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course has received numerous accolades and awards, including being ranked as one of the top golf courses in Canada by Golf Digest and SCOREGolf.

Venue Information

The clubhouse features a spacious locker room area with showers and complimentary towels, as well as a fully-stocked pro shop offering the latest golf equipment and apparel. Golfers can also take advantage of the club’s rental program for clubs and shoes.

 

After the round, golfers can relax and unwind at the on-site clubhouse restaurant and patio, which offers panoramic views of the mountains and serves a range of delicious meals and refreshing drinks. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also features a lounge area where golfers can enjoy a post-round drink and recount their memorable shots.

 

The course also offers extensive practice facilities, including a large driving range with both grass and synthetic hitting areas, as well as a chipping area and putting greens to help golfers fine-tune their skills. Lessons are also available from the course’s team of PGA of Canada professionals, who use state-of-the-art video analysis and other teaching aids to help golfers improve their game.
