With a quarter century of accolades and accomplishments on the score card, it’s no wonder these two courses are described as some of the most spectacular in golf. The Ocean North Course features panoramic views from every hole, while the Ocean South Course takes you closest—with three holes directly on the coast. Ocean North Course

Panoramic ocean views from every tee box are just the beginning. Open canyons and elevated plateaus dot the landscape, and at nearly 7,000 yards from the tips, your full attention is required. Several holes weave their way right down to the cliff’s edge, but great shots here require more than just a great camera. Lose your focus, and you might just lose the hole.

Ocean South Course

Yep, she certainly is a beauty. But the South Course is more than just eye candy. The pristine greens look harmless at first glance, but most are surrounded by bunkers and deep chasms, momentarily stealing your attention from the 270-degree views of the Pacific. Concentration here is a must, lest you end up taking more shots with your wedge than you do with your camera.

Ocean View Bungalows

Garden-View & Ocean-View Suites

Villas

The Resort Villa category blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors with glass doors off the living room that open wide to a view terrace that takes advantage of the classic Southern California setting of panoramic ocean views and a romantic Mediterranean landscape. The master bedroom and luxurious bath offer a casually elegant residential feel and the second bedroom features two queen beds with private bath, making it ideally suited for a family or guests. This room category stretches from two-bedroom to four bedroom, making the variance in choice perfect for groups of any size. Caffé & Market

Gourmet now meets on-the-go at Pelican Hill’s deliciously refreshed Caffè & Market. Enjoy a curated collection of hundreds of offerings to conveniently take back to your Bungalow or Villa, bring along on a beach picnic, marina cruise or savour indoors or al fresco at charming Caffè tables. Choose from freshly prepared artisan sandwiches, paninis, the finest cheese, fresh-baked pastries, barista-made coffee drinks, plus a wide selection of wine, Champagne and beer—among more than 400 market products. Spa

Pelican Hill’s expert therapists, among the most highly trained in the field, will help you personalize therapies centred on your needs. Choose your duration, amount of pressure from gentle to intense, and massage style preference ranging from traditional to modern. We use only natural products from family-owned makers, including essential oils, infusions, and other therapeutics aligned with the most current ideas in wellness.

Coliseum Pool

One of the most strikingly unique pools found anywhere, Coliseum Pool was designed with more than one million glass mosaic tiles, laid by hand to form the pool’s perfect circle, 136 feet in diameter. The most intimate way to experience this luxurious oasis is in one of the furnished private cabanas, available by reservation for Bungalow and Villa guests.

Villa Club Pool

This private pool, for Villa guests exclusively, is a work of art boasting a radiant blue bottom created by 300,000 hand-cut, hand-set glass mosaic tiles and views of the Pacific Ocean beyond. In this area, guests also enjoy luxurious cabanas, a whirlpool spa, children’s wading pool, pool attendants and full-service poolside food and beverage.

Cabana Suites

Lounge comfortably in the luxury cabana suites that surround both the Coliseum and Villa Pools. Featuring flat-screen TVs, Bose audio systems, chaise lounges, dining tables with chairs, ceiling fans and mini bars, each cabana suite is thoughtfully designed to include all the amenities needed for to relax poolside for as long as you wish. Guests may also arrange for food to be delivered to their cabana for added ease.

Spa Fitness Centre

A fully equipped gym complemented with daily wellness activities such as fitness walks and outdoor yoga sessions. Wellness Classes

Wellness classes are for guests only, and complimentary fitness classes are offered in the Spa Movement Studio which include a combination of strength training, cardiovascular exercise and flexibility. Daily Crystal Cove beach walks depart from the Spa lobby each morning.

How to Get There

The Resort at Pelican Hill lies on the southern outskirts of Los Angeles in Newport, making it an easy drive meandering down the coast from Long Beach and Huntington Beach. It’s less than 60-minutes’ drive from LA Airport, with transfers and car rentals all readily accessible. The Resort’s easily-accessible location means that a trip to any of LA’s famous beaches or a drive through Beverly Hills is as easy as renting a car and driving.
